When families have to travel to Tucson for medical care for a child, having a place to stay should be the last thing they have to worry about. And because of the Ronald McDonald House^®, it is. Last year more than 550 families called this House their home.

Our kitchen is currently under renovation, and we’ll need to stock it with pots, pans, utensils and equipment for our volunteer chefs and guest families. There’s nothing quite as stressful as having a baby or child in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Banner Children’s Diamond Children’s Medical Center, staffed by friendly volunteers, gives parents a place to rest and regroup. Away from the child’s bedside but close enough for comfort.

More children in Cochise County will have access to dental care thanks to the new Ronald McDonald Care Mobile^®, a wonderful partnership with Chiricahua Community Health Centers to help us meet our mission of “improving the health and well-being of children and their families.”

When Baby Erick was born to Raquel and Erick, he was so loved but so early. Born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound, 10 ounces. Raquel stayed at the Ronald McDonald House for 76 nights, caring for her baby in the NICU, while her husband stayed in Sierra Vista, working and caring for their two daughters. “We could not have gotten through the three months without the Ronald McDonald House.”
